One week packed!

Many of you, like me, are probably taking a trip home for Thanksgiving and need to pack a 4-5 day carry-on for your journey. I constantly find that I am in a dilemma state when I go to pack and it always takes longer than expected or I seriously overpack… So, by looking at a few different fashion spreads and designer lookbooks, I have constructed a week long wardrobe that packs into a carry-on and covers everything from lounging around with the family, to dressing up for nice dinners and all the traveling in-between.

My trip is specific to California, as that is where I am meeting my family for the holidays. Here is what I included in my compact wardrobe:

1.) One graphic tee shirt

2.) Two longer tank tops- one graphic, one plain

3.) One silk print top- sleveless

4.) One jersey short cover-up style dress

5.) One silk blend military style short-sleeve dress with pockets and button detail

6.) One boyfriend cardigan- long with pockets in the front

7.) One pair of neon blue skinny jeans

8.) One pair of black leggings with zipper details

9.) One navy blue mini skirt

10.) One pair of black bermuda shorts

11.) One black blazer- slim cut

12.) One swimsuit

13.) One 3/4 jersey printed top

14.) Accessories: one scarf, one skinny orange belt, one yellow Toy watch, one pair of oversized diamond earrings, one gold necklace, one pair of sunglasses

15.) Shoes: one pair of ballet flats, one pair of gladiator sandals, one pair of heels

Covering all the basics, I have constructed a wardrobe with pieces that overlap and can be paired with each other in different combinations- creating new looks. By incorporating some dressy and also more casual articles, I can adjust my look for each activity or event while on my trip.

Keep track of how I style these pieces on Weardrobe as I document each day of my trip.
