Macro habitude.

Following my last post on being a Macro girl, I thought an outline of my daily eating habits would be helpful. ;) It does change, depending upon where I am- a city or the country, and which city, but below is my standard fare. ;)

7:00am- First thing I have is either a glass of water with fresh lemon or a light tea- white or green.

8:00am- I will have some fruit, this is a good food to start your day with as it is gentle on the system and digested easily. I usually go for a handful of blueberries in soy yogurt or applesauce.

9:00am- Second breakfast! I like to have a cup of Kukicha tea and a rice cake with peanut or almond butter on top. That is my staple in the summer, during the winter I like something a bit heavier like oatmeal.

11:00am- My new favorite morning snack is Acai juice. It is rich in Omega 3s and antioxidants, and also gives a natural energy boost.

1:00pm- Lunch. Veggie sushi made with brown rice from Dean & Deluca with a small side of roasted beets and a miso soup. A small piece of dark chocolate for dessert.

3:00pm- Snack time again! A handful of roasted almonds does the trick. ;)

4:30- I like another pick-me-up before the day’s end and I head to the gym. So, I will have a coconut water and some sliced cucumber with hummus (you can substitute tortilla chips for cucumber too).

7:30pm- It’s dinner time! If I go out (which I do, a lot) I will have the fish- preferably sea bass, as it is low in mercury levels, with a side of steamed veggies and brown rice or quinoa.

It is best not to eat anything three hours before bed, so try to schedule your meals earlier, and as you can tell from my eating plan, get lots of snacks in along the way. It helps keep your metabolism up along with your blood sugar levels. ;)
