This weekend I attended a fabulous pool-side party in the Hamptons, hosted by Mr. Charlie Walk to celebrate the wonderful Mr. Jason Port. One of the best parties of the summer- there was of course a dj, lights that flashed cool pastel colors along the side of the house, gigantic balloons floating in the pool, an organic green food truck parked in the back serving delicious delights and an array of super stylish people.

The outfits ranged from edgy and casual cool to cocktail dressed up and boho summer chic. One of my favorite outfits was a denim on denim top and shorts (something I usually cringe at) with a fur vest to break it up, paired with funky jewelry and open-toed black booties. Hot.

Then, there was of course a lot of the long flowy summer dresses worn with flats and chandelier earrings. I fell into the last group I have illustrated here- the tunic as a dress. Sweet silky short tunics paired with interesting heels and wedges, finished off with complimenting jewelry was the dominant theme at this party and fell right in line with that effortless chic that is relaxed but still something special.
