I love being right! I went to a new nail polish release party last night at Henry Bendel in NYC (via Jessica Schroeder- thanks babe!), and lo and behold- there was that matte nail polish I predicted about two months ago (hehe). Remember when I wrote about that gorgeous matte black BMW that passed by me in Chelsea and gave me whiplash? Yeah, that is where it all started. I saw matte bags, shoes, nail polish… And here it is, fully manifested! :)

It is awesome, and produced by two men, no less! One is the creative influence, Mike Potter, and the other, Aaron McCann, the business brains behind production. Knock Out! is the newest trend in nail wear. They produced flatte black, karen red, liberty blue, calamine pink, powder white,  concrete, ox purple…

You never thought these colors could be reinvented so simply without the million variations or quirky names that Essie puts into play. All it takes is a minute or two for your fresh coat to dry and suddenly you are beaming a self-satisfied smile: “It’s matte! And it’s so cool and different!” You gotta love fashion- always keeping it new and fresh! I, for one, have a whole new take on my signature one-off nail. ;)
