This weekend I ventured into one of the most quintessentially British student party spots- The Roxy.  The minute you walk in, winding your way down the mellow yellow staircase, the smell of stale alcohol greets you until you burst into the vast basement room where energy, loud music and dim lights take over.

I have to say, it was kinda like a throw back to someone’s high school party in their parent’s basement- and I loved it!  People flittered all over the place, mingling and clinking glasses to celebrate one another.

But most of all, I noticed the fashion!

London girls love their TopShop (and now so do New Yorkers)!  And why not?!  With seasonal pieces that transform your look and provide you with that new outfit for a night out (or two, or three or four!) without breaking the bank- it is a wonderful relationship.

So what did I see?  Floral! At the moment it is all about floral.  The kind you would have seen on your quilts and curtains growing up in the 80s.  They are sweet yet bold and bright in a traditional sense.  One of my favourites was the new shorts play suit in an Old English wallpaper white with fuschia flowers complimented with green leaves and bits of electric turquoise.  There was also the classic tank top and bubbled floral skirt number.  An absolute must in an Londoner’s closet!
