For what it’s worth…

This week I had two different sources make statements about how one perceives themselves and how powerful that perception is.  Basically, you are what you think.  Even if you are thinking “I don’t want to be this or that”.  By having the thought at all, you are affirming that that is what and who you are.

So that is the first bit, which ties into the second.  The habits and perceptions you form (perhaps subconsciously) are based upon what you think you are worth.  You may not be taking good care of yourself- not getting enough sleep, drinking too much, eating too much, not exercising, not putting forth the effort in your appearance…  It happens to all of us, and sometimes it is just a rut or a crazy busy week or whatever.  What you need to be careful of is falling into this cycle and also not recognizing why you fall into it.

The why bit is harder to swallow- it takes more effort and actual honesty from within to understand.  This is the bit I have been looking at recently.  To be fair, I actually am still not sure what my why is, but I want to explore it.  Because, if you identify the why you can change your course and deal with what lies beneath to then form better habits that affirm what you really think you are worth.

So, I challenge you.  Take a look at where you are and what you do on a daily, weekly, monthly basis and how you view yourself.  If there is something you want to change- dig deeper and making a lasting impact! Good luck.
