Harajuku Girl. I’ve just spent the past ten days in Japan, roaming the city streets of Tokyo and Kyoto. I read a great book called A Geek in Japan in preparation for my trip, and it was the perfect intro to Japanese pop culture and fashion. Yet, no book can prepare you for the awesome individual style of the Japanese! I adopted a couple of signature pieces that swayed my style to a more playful Japanese influence: knee socks and a bow headband.
